No that one got fixed in less time back in the early 90's!

This is the one that leads past the Fire Dept to Clintwood. The sides/decking are being replaced. They got started on it last winter I think? and then just didn't do any work on it.

The last time I went across it,, they were pouring for the wall and steel railing and looks like both sides are ready to drive on. So it may not be too much longer, except, are there suppose to be a 'walkway' for pedestrians??

It was the one-lane temporary bridge the Army Corp. of engineers built bseide where the permanent bridge was. It was the first time Pound had a stop light!

And you drove across it?? I thought all traffic was diverted thru Bold Camp.

well I personally wasn't old enough to drive at the time lol... but yes, it was a real bridge, just one lane. You waited at the light as it let one direction through at a time.

Traffic was diverted for a short time while the wood bridge was built but that's all. While the new bridge was built that's what was used.

I will say this, that was the quickest pave job I've ever seen. Bridges are a little rough, but not as bad as in other places. Love that they milled the old surface down. That said, I don't really understood why they paved that section. Seems like it was done not long ago.
